Connected Classrooms

The Connected Classrooms Program provides Department of Education and Training (DET) staff and students with new opportunities to connect with each other across enhanced technology facilities for sharing resources and data collaboration. South Western Sydney Region supports the implementation of Connected Classrooms through professional development workshops and programs with the aim to develop whole region capacity to integrate IWBs into teaching and learning, aligned to the NSW Quality Teaching model.

Regional IWB Mentor Program

Schools in South Western Sydney Region are invited to participate in the IWB Mentor Training Program. One staff member per school will have the opportunity to be trained as an Interactive Whiteboard Mentor, specialising in Smart Notebook software. This training program will enable Mentors to build the capacity of staff at their school to integrate Smart Notebook in teaching and learning.

Please note: It is not necessary to have an IWB installed at your school to participate in this program as notebook software is available on all T4L and DER NSW devices.
