Schools in South Western Sydney Region are invited to participate in the IWB Mentor Training Program. One staff member per school will have the opportunity to be trained as an Interactive Whiteboard Mentor, specialising in Smart Notebook software. This training program will enable Mentors to build the capacity of staff at their school to integrate Smart Notebook in teaching and learning.
Please note: It is not necessary to have an IWB installed at your school to participate in this program as notebook software is available on all T4L and DER NSW devices.
This is not Connected Classrooms training
- The Connected Classroom rollout training will continue as scheduled
Expectations of mentors
- Train staff at their school in the use of Smart Notebook software and model sound pedagogical use of IWBs
- Selected mentors may be called upon to conduct a regional introductory IWB workshop
- Selected mentors will be required to host an advanced or specialty KLA board user group (BUG) for schools in their area.
Training
- 1 day workshop using Smart Notebook software
- Includes familiarisation with IWB training materials, a resource disk and facilitator training
- $200 per participant inc GST
Only one teacher per school will be eligible to attend this training. This person must have the approval of the Principal. |
